- You will work with a local supplier, where you can view the product, check out samples and purchase the material in person.
- You have somewhere to go if there are problems with the material, such as damaged during delivery, defective product or the wrong color.

WHAT HAPPENS IF:
- You purchase your floor from an Internet dealer and your floor shows up the wrong product or color? You have to spend valuable time on the phone with someone out of state and prove to them over the phone that what you received is wrong.
Boardwalk will verify the correct product and color before we deliver the material to your house.
- Your floor shows up damaged? You have to fight with the truck line and Internet dealer to figure out who is at fault.
Boardwalk will verify that your material is of good quality and not damaged prior to delivery.
- Your floor is defective or you have problems during installation?
You have to prove to the Internet dealer that your floor is defective and explain the problems over the phone. Since they are out of state, they can not physically come out to inspect your floor.
Boardwalk is locally owned and operated. If you have a problem with your floor we will physically come out to your home and work with you or the installer to fix it.
- You have a warranty issue with your floor? Most factories have policies in place that void warranties on Internet purchases. Factory sales representatives work in regional territories and get paid commissions on sales of material in their area. If the Internet retailer is outside the regional factory representatives territory, that person may or may not be willing to inspect your floor due to it being purchased from outside their territory.
Boardwalk will physically inspect your floor and work with our factory representatives to insure the long-term satisfaction of your purchase. You can walk into one of our stores and discuss your concerns directly with the people who sold you the material.
- You forget to order trim, vents or accessory items to finish your project? You will have to explain to the Internet retailer over the phone what accessories you are looking for and hope they have a clear understanding of what you are explaining. You may have to wait several days or weeks to receive these items and make sure they are right.
Boardwalk stocks a full compliment of vents, trims and accessories to match your floor. You can come into one of our locations and discuss your transitions with one our salespeople to ensure you are receiving the correct product. Since we stock these items, we can provide them to you or your installer in a timely fashion.
- You are in the middle of installing you floor and need some technical assistance? You will have to explain your situation to someone at the Internet retailer that may or may not have any installation experience or call around town and hope someone who didn’t sell you the material will help.
